I have been corrected by a young friend on the best way to locate fairies. The best way to spot a fairy is to hear the sound of their wings fluttering. I have been told, they can beat fast and frantic like a hummingbird or slow and light like a butterfly. Another give away on this is their wings can generate a breeze or quick puffs of air. If you feel an unexpected wisp of air on your cheek on a still day, a fairy may have just flown by. Fairies love to catch rides on their friends the wrens, butterflies and moths. Bumblebees too, if they’re friendly. Let us know if you catch sight of a fairy skimming by astride one of their friends. Be quick.
